Lady Rams blank Church Point

The Westlake Lady Ram softball team ran their District 4-3A record to 4-0 with a 6-0 shutout of Church Point on the road Tuesday afternoon.

Chelsea Evans led Westlake (11-8-1, 4-0) at the plate going 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Kylie Goodeaux went 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Church Point committed nine errors that led to four of Westlake’s six runs.

Westlake’s defense was able to contain the Lady Bears speed and short-game while committing no errors.

Maggie Bradshaw picked up the win for the Lady Rams. She allowed two hits in seven innings while striking out three, walking one and hitting one batter.

Westlake will host Iowa on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
