The Westlake Rams starting pitcher Johnathon Lamberth did not allow any earned runs and struck out nine but the Rams’ offense could not get any runs as they lost 1-0 to Church Point in District 4-3A action on Tuesday.
Lambert did not allow any walks in seven innings of work but was tagged with the loss to fall to 1-4.
The Rams had opportunities but struggled on the bases including being caught stealing twice.
The Rams will host Iowa on Thursday at 6 p.m.
