The Westlake Rams fell to the Barbe Bucs for the second time this season on their home floor on Tuesday by a score of 64-34.
The Bucs (7-5) beat the Rams 54-26 on November 24 in Cameron State Bank Holiday Classic held at Westlake.
The Rams (5-5) were able to keep up with the Bucs through the first quarter and lead 16-13 going into the second period.
Turnovers started to show their ugly head for the Rams to allow Barbe to score 11 points to take a 32-20 lead at halftime.
The turnover woes only got worse for Westlake in the second half with the Rams scoring only four points to the Bucs' 21 for a 53-24 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
"Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers," said Rams' head coach on the troublesome third quarter. "We had way too many turnovers and didn't shoot the ball many times.
"Turnovers have been our nemesis lately. We are just going to have to work on our ball pressure."
Barbe out-scored Westlake by only one point, but the damage from the third quarter couldn't be undone for a 64-34 Bucs victory.
Waylen Williams led all scorers with 18 points for Barbe with Jon Carr adding 11 points.
Zac Cahee and Gareth McConathy each scored 16 points for the Rams.
Westlake will look to rebound from two straight losses on Thursday when they take on Laccasine at the Iowa tournament at 5 p.m.
