Hobo Hotel, Inc. and Spankey Halfway House for Cats and Kittens, a local non-profit rescue group, are calling all Lake Area artists for help with art donations. Pieces of local works of art are needed for the Sweet Art Silent Auction at the Imperial Calcasieu Museum on Saturday, February 11.
The fundraising event, with free admission to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature works from local artists ranging from paintings, prints and charcoal drawings to photography, handmade pottery, and jewelry and furniture pieces. Proceeds from the event will provide Hobo Hotel’s ‘residents’ with food, shelter, medicine and supplies needed for their daily care until they are adopted.
