“That no flesh should glory in His presence.”
I Corinthians 1:29

We must not boast in worldly knowledge, human ability, materialist achievements or earthly riches; instead, we must exult and rejoice only the Lord God and our personal relationship with Him in His grace which enables believers to live righteously. There are no earthly values which can compare to the joy of knowing God.

True worth consists in committing ourselves to the Lord God and His standards and allowing Him to fill us with His Holy Spirit. Our greatest goal in life should b e to know Christ and to experience His personal fellowship and nearness in a more intimate way, causing us to give glory to God for the joy that Christ Jesus brings into our hearts. It is through Christ that believers receive wisdom for God and experience redemption, righteousness and sanctification.

God nullifies the esteemed things of this world. God is in the process of bringing humanistic philosophies and all other worldly systems to an end. In making plans and goals, believers must boast about achieved goals based on the assumption that whatever we have accomplished, we have done by ourselves and not with the help of God and others is not good. Our total dependency is to be in God.

May we ever glorify God for all of His blessings with hearts of thanksgiving.
