Its summer time and that means fun time. The Ward 7 Swimming Pool has plans for you. Splash Day will be Saturday, May 30th from 2:00-5:00pm. There will be no charge on splash day.
The pool will then be open Monday-Saturday with the following admission: Ages 0-17 will be $1.25 and 18 and older will be $2.00.
The pool schedule as follows:
1:00-5:00—Monday-Saturday-Open Swim (any age)
5:10-6:30---Monday & Tuesday- Family Swim, youth must be accompanied with an adult on family swim nights.
5:30-8:00----Friday----Open Swim
5:30-6:30pm- Mon., Wed., Thurs.- Ladies Exercise & Sr. Citizen Swim
10:00-10:45am----Swimming Lessons- Beginners Class Monday-Thursday
11:00-12noon------Swimming Lesson- Intermediate/Advance Class Monday-Thursday
Must be registered for swimming lessons, each session running 2 weeks for 45 minutes for beginners & 1 hour for intermediate/advance classes. Dates set for swimming lessons: First session June 8th -18th & Second session June 22nd – July 2nd . The pool will be closed on Sundays to the public and reserved for private parties. Prices for a pool party for residents of Ward 7 is $40.00 per hour for up to 30 swimmers and $50.00 per hour for over 30 swimmers. Non-residents will add $10.00 per hour for pool parties. $15.00 dollars per hour deposit is required at time of pool rentals. Family Season tickets may be purchased at the Recreation Center during office hours at $60.00 for up to 4 persons in the same household, add $5.00 each additional person in the household. Swimming lessons will be $30.00 for the 2 week session and price is not included in a season ticket. Concessions will be sold at the pool during pool hours.
The Recreation Office will begin booking private parties and swimming lessons on Tuesday May 26th during the hours of 10am-noon & 1-4pm. Beginning May 30th when pool opens bookings will be done at the pool during pool hours. The baby pool will be open and there will be no charge for the baby pool. It will be for children 4 and under. Children using the baby pool must be supervised at all time by a parent or guardian age 15 years or older. Children who are under the age of three and are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper. No regular disposable diapers aloud in pool. No lifeguard on duty in the baby pool. There will also be no food or drinks allowed in the baby pool area. For more information call 589-5181.
