“We’ve got events going on just about every weekend. We average, over the last seven years, 165 event days per calendar year. That’s about three events per week,” he said, adding that 75 percent of its utilization comes from youth and family-based organizations and that it sees about a 90 percent return of clientele.

"The Army does a pretty deliberate job at putting people into JRTC that have a lot of fresh experience in what they do," said Maj. Mark Stouffer, operations officer for the Devil Brigade, who arrived at JRTC in early January for a month-long rotation. CASA, a program of Family & Youth, recruits and trains volunteers who advocate in court for the best interests of abused and neglected children. CASA volunteers serve as the eyes and ears of the court, gathering information on each child’s situation.
