The Sulphur Lady Tor volleyball team lost by a combined five points in the first two games but could not stop the Sam Houston Lady Broncos and avoid the sweep in their first loss of the season on Thursday.
Sam Houston won the first game 25-22 followed by a 25-23 win in the second game before completeing the swep with a 25-14 win in the thir game.
Katie Dewitt led the Lady Broncos with eight kills an five blocks while Maddie Smith added seven kills and three blocks. Alli Fields had eight kills and three aces.
Emily Vincent led Sulphur with five kills and 14 digs. Elise Pago added three kills, nine assists and 10 digs while Caitlen Blanchard finished with three kills and six digs.
The Lady Tors will look to get back on the winning track on Tuesday when they travel to Iowa.
