DeRidder got a last minute goal on Monday to beat the Sulphur Lady Tors 2-1 at Cecil Doyle Stadium in the season finale for both teams.
Sulphur out shout DeRidder 15-7 and held the momentum late in the game when Allie Lee scored on a penalty kick after a DeRidder defender was called for a hand ball in front of the goal in the 73rd minute.
Lee followed up her goal with another shot in the 76th minute shooting from left to right but DeRidder goalkeeper Kennedy Shrope was there to stop it. Freshman Fallon Roussel had a chance to give Sulphur their first lead of the game in the 78th minute but once again Shrope was there.
With time running out Taylor Frost passed the ball to Kaitlyn Morris with a minute left. Hounded by Sulphur's defense, Morris still managed to dribble the ball up the left side of the field and squeezed in a shot between Sulphur keeper Brianna Phillips and the left post for the game winner.
Sulphur dominated the first half with a 8-2 advantage in shots on goal but came up short.
Freshman Kayla Sheridan launched two shots in the first five minutes of the game and nearly had an assist on a throw in the 24th minute but Roussel's shot missed to the right.
DeRidder finally broke up the scoreless tie in the 47th minute on a goal by Lindsey DeSantigo. Jade Rene Zaunbrecher dribbled to the right corner before sending it back to the center. Sulphur's defense tried to clear the ball but DeSantigo made a sliding kick through the pack for a 1-0 Lady Dragon lead.
Roussel nearly tied the game in the 66th minute but her shot bounced off the right post.
DeRidder's Madison Broussard had a goal called back in the 68th minute on a hand ball.
