The Westlake Lady Rams snapped a two-game losing streak with a 3-1 win over the Eunice Lady Bobcats in their District 4-3A opener.
Maggie Bradshaw struck out 10 batters while allowing just two hits and no earned runs in the victory for the Lady Rams.
Westlake (4-4-1, 1-0) scored a run in the first inning and added a run in the sixth and seventh inning.
Kasha Carpenter led the Lady Rams going 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored. Kylie Goodeaux added a 1-for-2 effort with two RBI's.
Blair Fuselier scored the lone Lady Bobcat run while going 1-for-3 with Camille Faul adding a 1-for-3 performance at the plate.
The Lady Rams will return to action today when they take on East Ascension at 4:45 p.m. and French Settlement at 8:15 p.m.
