SULPHUR — The Sulphur Tors lost a heartbreaker at home Tuesday to Leesville 47-45.

Leesville’s Carlos Pagan hit a buzzer beater to give the Wampus Cats (9-13) the win. Pagan finished with 18 points and Kamani Pruitt added 14.

Sulphur led 20-14 at halftime, but was outscored 23-15 in the third quarter.

Kaleb Vizier led the Tors (7-10) with 18 points, Ashtyn Lilly added 12 points and Dawson Ortego finished with 10.

Anacoco 57

Westlake 50

WESTLAKE — Westlake lost to Anacoco 57-50 in its first home game of the new year on Tuesday.

Westlake trailed Anacoco 29-22 at halftime.

Anacoco’s (14-11) Kellen Haymon led all scorers with 17 poins and Landry Alligood chipped in 14.

Drew Winn led Westlake (7-6) with 13 points and Jamaal Guillory finished with 11.

Leesville 34

SULPHUR — Led by a 14 points, 10 rebound double-double by junior center Moe Patterson, Sulphur rolled o a 68-34 win over Leesville at home Tuesday.

Sulphur (17-4) also got 17 points from senior guard Addy Tremie.

Jayla Burnett led Leesville (0-19) with 11 points.

Westlake 63

Anacoco 27

WESTLAKE — The Westlake Lady Rams won for the seventh time in nine games Tuesday after a 63-27 win over Anacoco.

Westlake’s (12-4) Jada Gasaway and Destiny Peltier led four Lady Rams in double figures. Gasaway had 11 points, six assists and five steals and Peltier scored 11 points with seven assists and five steals.

Cally Hooks led Anacoco (15-11) with six points.

Johnson Bayou 48

VINTON — Vinton lost to Johnson Bayou Tuesday 48-25 in its first home game of 2020.

Vinton (6-11) trailed Johnson Bayou (6-11) 21-14 at halftime.

Gracie Young and Ava Young led Johnson Bayou with 16 points apeice.

Joenid Vazquez led Vinton with nine points.
