HAMMOND–A pair of free throws by No. 5 Hammond’s Mark Bridgewater with six seconds left in the game ended the No. 4 Sulphur Golden Tornadoes season on Friday in a 59-58 heartbreaker in Hammond in the Class 5A quarterfinal playoffs.

SULPHUR–It’s been awhile for the Sulphur Lady Tors since their win last week against Pineville, but the Lady Tors are going to have to wait for another victory as they fell to the defending Class 5A state champion St. Thomas More Lady Cougars 3-1 on Thursday.

SULPHUR–One thing is for sure when No. 4 Sulphur travels to face No. 5 Hammond today at 6 p.m. in the Class 5A quarterfinal playoff round, the Tors will win. The question is which one, the Sulphur Golden Tornadoes or the Hammond Tornadoes.
