Garrett Michael Vice, 5, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2008 in a Shreveport hospital.
Garrett aspired to be a fireman when he got older and enjoyed riding his bicycle. Everyone adored being around him due to the fact that he was a "perfect angel." Garrett started to fall in love with LSU football and spent time with his father watching LSU football games and playing football. His parents referred to him as their "Little Man."
Survivors include his mother and father, Christopher and Buffy Vice of Vinton; his sister, Kristin Vice of Vinton; his maternal grandparents, Terry and David Berry of Vinton; his great grandparents, Howard and Gertrude Sparks of Vinton and John and Shirley Laughlin of Vinton; and his aunts and uncles, Dennis and Dawn Sparks and Mike and Lisa Sparks, both of Orange, TX and Larry Laughlin of Vinton. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Beverly Tully.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Vinton. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hixson's Funeral Home of Vinton. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.mem.com
