Funeral services for Mildred R. Perry, 71, of Sulphur, will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Father Jim Winiarski will officiate. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery-South, Carlyss, La., under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. Mrs. Perry passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in a local care center.
Visitation will begin today, Friday, January 2, 2009 in Robison Funeral Home from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 3 from 8 a.m. until time of service.
A native and lifelong resident of Sulphur, Mrs. Perry attended Sulphur High School. She worked as a beautician for many years before retiring. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Perry; her father, Alduce Richard; her mother, Rose Vincent Richard; one sister, Ethlyn Abshire; and one brother, Terry Richard.
Survivors include two sons, Marty Perry and wife Hope, and Coby Perry and wife Doanie; one daughter, Ginger Roberts; one sister, Madge Hessifer; three brothers, Curtis Richard, Ernie Richard, and Harry Richard; five grandchildren, Jessica Perry, Courtney Cox, Perri Holmes, Abigail Perry, and Gabriel Perry; brother-in-law, Abe Abshire; and sister-in-law, Judy Richard.
Sulphur, La. —
