Vinton – Violet Mae Drouillard, 78, passed away Monday, December 15, 2008, in her residence.
She was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the VFW in Port Huron, Michigan. She worked as a crossing guard for fifteen years. She was a member of the Vinton United Methodist Church and also a volunteer.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Clifford Drouillard of Vinton, LA; twelve children, John Michael Pemberton and wife Pat of Port Huron, MI, Deborah Chamberlain and husband James of Port Huron, MI, George Albert Pemberton of Port Huron, MI, Stephen Andrew Pemberton and wife Julie of Port Huron, MI, Brian James Pemberton and wife Debbie of New Iberia, LA, Mark Anthony Pemberton and wife Jen of Lake Charles, LA, Pamela Sue Trahan and husband Mike of Vinton, LA, Gloria ViAnn Drouillard and husband Dennis of Vinton, LA, Vicki Sapian and husband Manuel of Caro, MI, Gloria Joy Hill and husband Kevin of Port Huron, MI, Clifford Carl Drouillard of Canada and Rose Marie Stevens and husband Paul of Port Huron, MI ; 31 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Jennie Currie.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 19, at Vinton Methodist Church. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton.
