Edna Etta Hoffpauir Scruton, 75, passed away December 21, 2008 in her residence.
Edna was born November 18, 1933 in Sulphur, where she was raised, to Roy Louis Bunch and Rosie Lorena Mitchell Bunch. She lived most of her life in Moss Bluff.
She was a loving mother, “granny,” grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her family was always first in her life; always helping and caring for them. She was always active and never stopped doing for others. She started working at Memorial Hospital in the 60’s. She also worked at St. Patrick Hospital, Colonade and retired from Valley View Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Survivors include her mother, Rosie L. Bunch, her husband, Larry Scruton of Moss Bluff; children, Sidney Hoffpauir, Carol Leger and husband Jimmy, and Kimberly Scruton; grandchildren, Holly Leger, Heather MacDonald and husband John, Bryan Leger, Lacey Everett, Krista Scruton, Jasmine and Katie; great-grandchildren, Brycen and Kallie; and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Starcus Hoffpauir and father, Roy L. Bunch.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 in the First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff. Brothers, Shawn Thomas and Ed Rose will officiate. Burial will follow in Ritchie Cemetery.
