Funeral services for Mrs. Leeferd “Pearl” Breaux, 65, of Sulphur, will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2008 in Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Deacon Johnny Mounce will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery under the direction of Robison Funeral Home.
Visitation began on Monday, December 29, 2008 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. A Rosary was held at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue today, Tuesday, December 30, from 8 a.m. until time of service. Mrs. Breaux passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2008 in a Sulphur hospital surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Rayne and longtime resident of Sulphur since 1967, Mrs. Breaux worked at KFC as manager for 22 years before retiring. Later, she worked at Misses’ Grocery in the deli for six years. She was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Leeferd Breaux, of Sulphur; two daughters, Stephanie
Vincent and husband Robert LeBoef, and Jennifer Breaux of Sulphur; two sons, Leeferd Breaux, Jr., and wife Kathy of Sulphur, Eric Breaux and wife Adrianne of Carthage, Tx; three sisters, Shirley Castille and husband George of Rayne, Ruby Duplichain and husband Percy of Houston, and Barbara Alleman of Sulphur; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
