Funeral services for Joyce Head, 76, of Sulphur, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in Old Center Baptist Church, Teneha, Texas. Burial will follow in Old Center Cemetery under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Robison Funeral Home, Sulphur, La.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 31st from 1 p.m. until time of service in Old Center Baptist Church, Teneha, Tx. Mrs. Head passed away on Friday, December 26, 2008 in High Hope Care Center. She was a longtime resident of Westlake and a homemaker. Mrs. Head was a member of Westlake First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Roy Taylor and Billy Taylor.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Burrows and husband Gerald of Oklahoma City, OK, and Janise Crumpler and husband Tim of Sulphur, La., a son, David Head, his wife Marie, Lake Charles. She was also survived by 16 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two brothers June Taylor and his wife Maxine of Carthage, Tx, and Jesse Taylor and wife Lynn of Baytown, Tx. Two sisters also survived her- Charlcie Turner and husband Pat of Longview, Tx., and D’Anna Hooker & husband George, Teneha, Tx. and two sister-in-laws Delores Pusonji of Baytown Tx and Georgia Taylor, California.
