Perfecto Gallegos, Jr., 52, died Monday, December 15, 2008, in Grand Junction, Co.
He was a native of Hackberry. He was a graduate of McNeese State University. He worked as a project manager for a surveying company. He loved to play the guitar, travel and cook.
Survivors include his parents Perfecto Gallegos, Sr and Hazel Gallegos of Hackberry; children Kailey Gallegos of Sulphur, Kasey Gallegos of Sulphur and Kaitlyn Gallegos of Sulphur; brothers and sisters Gloria Ellender and her husband Fred, Juanita Nunez and her husband Carroll, Ricky Gallegos and his wife Cherri, Marguerita Gallegos and Gabe Gallegos and his wife Beverly; and eight nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Philip and Anola Simon, paternal grandparents Manuel and Nichlas Gallegos, and niece Latisha Tingler.
His funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, in St Theresa Catholic Church of Carlyss. Rev. Thomas Vellappallil will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2p.m.until 6 p.m. Friday with a rosary at 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until service at the funeral home. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.mem.com.
