Curtis Joseph Chaisson Jr., 79, died Tuesday, March 20 in his residence with his family by his side.
He was a lifelong resident of Sulphur and served in the U.S. Navy. Curtis loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his beloved pet, Sammy Rose.
Curtis is survived by his son, Floyd Chaisson and his wife Barbara; one daughter Judy Comeaux and companion Danny Lopez; one sister Paula (DeeDee) Isaac; six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Velma Jane Chaisson, his parents Curtis (Curley) Chaisson and Mary Pago Chaisson; sister, Barbara Vincent; brothers, Kenneth Chaisson, Ivy Chaisson, and Randy Chaisson, son, Michael Comeaux.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 in Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church in Sulphur, Louisiana. Father Andrews Kollannoor M.S. will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel and will continue on Thursday from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.in the chapel until service time at the church. A Cursillo Rosary will be Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Rose Lawn Cemetery in Sulphur.
