On February 1, detectives with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) began an investigation involving multiple incidents of alleged drug activity at the Baymont Inn on MLK Highway and at a home on Katherine Street, both in Lake Charles.
C.A.T. Team detectives, along with the assistance of CPSO ACT-Team and LCPD SWAT Team, executed two search warrants at the locations, recovering an undisclosed amount of cash, six pounds of hydroponic marijuana, and approximately 50 fluid ounces of promethazine with codeine.
Four people were arrested at the locations, including Donald W. Davis, Jr., 29, of Segovia Court, Madera, California; Quinten L. Flemming, 34, of E. University Street, Fresno, California; Jewel M. Broussard, 24, of Brooks Street, Lake Charles; and Donald W. Davis, 54, of Katherine Street, also of Lake Charles.
All were booked in the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with possession with intent of CDS I (marijuana); and possession with intent of CDS V (promethazine). Judge Kent Savoie set their bonds at $50,000 each.
CAT Team detectives continued their investigation by executing a search warrant at a home on Pecan Acres Road in Lake Charles.  During the search of the home, an undisclosed amount of cash and hydroponic marijuana was recovered.  Homeowner Theodore M. White, 38, was released on a summons.
