On Thursday, a Lake Charles man was arrested for possessing child pornography. The arrest was part of the continuing state-wide effort titled Operation Child Watch.
Detectives with the Lake Charles Field Office of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations conducted a peer to peer investigation (computer file sharing) which resulted in a search warrant for the residence of 48-year-old Keith Driggers of Lake Charles. A search of his computer revealed the presence of child pornography. During an interview, Driggers admitted downloading child pornography.
Troopers arrested Driggers and charged him with pornography involving juveniles. He was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.
The mission of Operation Child Watch is to rescue children from the potential abuse of child predators by targeting those individuals with sexually explicit images and/or videos on their computers. This is an ongoing effort, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies.
