Beginning Friday, July 3, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Marine Division will be working with the City of Lake Charles to enforce a newly imposed no-wake zone for boaters along the sea wall at the Civic Center. The zone will be the entire length of the sea wall and extend out 500’ from the wall into the lake. The no-wake zone will continue throughout the new construction being done along the sea wall. The Sheriff’s Office Marine Division will be placing buoys in the water to mark the zone.
