Town hall meeting in Hackberry scheduled for discussion of hospital’s millage proposition
West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital will hold a public meeting at the Hackberry Rural Health Clinic, 1020 Main Street, on Monday, March 1 at 6 p.m. to discuss the proposed tax millage on the March 27 ballot for voters in Wards 4 and 7 in Calcasieu Parish and Ward 6 in Cameron Parish. The proposed tax millage is in the amount of 6.95 mills on all the property subject to taxation within the district for a period of 10 years for the purpose of maintaining, operating, supporting and improving the hospital facilities of the hospital service district.
Public meetings have been held in Sulphur and Vinton, and another meeting will be held in Sulphur on Thursday, March 11 at 6 p.m. at Dynamic Dimensions.
