Full Force DWI Task Force releases checkpoint results

The Calcasieu Full Force Dwi Project conducted a DWI checkpoint on July 3, in the 5500 block of Elliott Rd. in Lake Charles to target individuals driving under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics.
Three hundred forty (340) vehicles were checked; seven (7) field sobriety tests were administered; three (3) citations were issued; and the following two (2) people were arrested.

Participating in this checkpoint were the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office; Louisiana State Police Troop D; and the Lake Charles Police Department.
This DWI checkpoint was funded by a grant from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
