Around 2 p.m. Thursday, a C.A.T. team member stopped a car for a traffic violation traveling eastbound on I-10 at mile marker 33. When Chasady L. Hargrave, 24, 213 Wright Ave., Houma, gave consent to search her car, 25 white bags each containing four bottles of pills were recovered from the cargo area in the car.
In the pill bottles were a total of 3,000 Hydrocodone, 1,500 Xanax, vitamins and laxatives. The street value of the prescription pills is approximately $30,000.
Hargrave was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. She is charged with possession with intent to distribute CDS III & IV. She is also charged with a traffic violation.
The investigation is continuing with more arrests possible.
