According to the Calcasieu Parish School System, LEAP/GEE testing will be administered in two separate test administration dates. Schools and students must follow the state schedule. Students will not be allowed the choice to test Phase 1 subjects during Phase 2. Students from nonpublic and home school programs who take LEAP/GEE are expected to also follow this schedule:

Phase 1 Testing - March 23, 2010
LEAP: ELA Writing and Math Constructed Response items
GEE: Writing and Math/Science/Social Studies Constructed Response items

March 24 and 25, 2010
Make-up days

Phase 2 Testing - April 12–16, 2010
LEAP/GEE: All remaining test items

April 19—21, 2010
Make-up days

LEAP and GEE students who fail to test in Phase 1 will not be allowed to make-up Phase 1 testing in Phase 2 unless they meet the following extenuating circumstances:
1. Illness, with absence inclusive of all testing and make-up dates. This illness must be documented by a doctor’s letter.
2. Transfer/new student who enrolled after March 25, 2010 and did not test in another Louisiana public school.
Students who do not meet these extenuating circumstances will not be allowed to makeup Phase 1 test administration during Phase 2. The subjects tested during Phase 1 will receive a zero score.
