According to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals limited quantities of the H1N1 flu vaccine is arriving in the state each week. These early shipments are for high-risk populations which include:
•Children 6  months - 18 years
•Young adults 19 - 24 years
•Pregnant women
•Frontline healthcare workers
•Adults under age 65 with chronic medical conditions such as asthma or diabetes
As more citizens from high-risk populations get vaccinated, the Department of Health and Hospitals will alert non-target citizens when they can get their H1N1 vaccine.
