Sulphur Police detectives are currently investigating the homicide of a man hit in the head with a concrete block early Wednesday morning.
According to Chief Chris Abrahams, the Sulphur Police were dispatched to Lokis Bar, 3620 E. Napoleon Street at approximately 4:20 a.m. in reference to a man hit in the head with a brick.
Upon their arrival in the parking lot, officers found Roderick David, age 55 of Sulphur, badly injured. David was transported to West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition. He was later transferred to LSU Shreveport where he was pronounced dead Wednesday afternoon.
