The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has located Angela M. Batchelor, 35, 1055 Hungerford Rd., Lake Charles, the mother of the two and half year old twin boys left with a man on Iris St. in Lake Charles over the weekend. She turned herself in to detectives this afternoon.
After interviewing Batchelor, the CPSO arrested and charged her with eight counts of cruelty to a juvenile and booked her into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Bond was not set at press time.
The twins remain in the custody of the Office of Community Services.
Batchelor was arrested as recently as February 19 by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office and charged with possession of marijuana and Schedule IV drugs. She has been arrested in the past on other drug charges, probation violation, theft, burglary, forgery, DWI, and worthless checks.
