A Sulphur man has been charged with attempted second degree murder following a domestic dispute Thursday, August 2.
Jesus Loera, 30, of Sulphur, was booked into the Sulphur City Jail on $250,000 bond.
At approximately 10:20 p.m. on August 2, Sulphur Police Department officers were dispatched to 211 W. Thomas Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. After arriving on the scene, officers arrested Loera and booked him with domestic abuse battery with strangulation, false imprisonment and aggravated assault.
It was after further investigation into the disturbance that charges were upgraded to attempted second degree murder. The lead investigator on the case is Det. Ryan Arnold.
