CPSO releases results of Roving DWI Details this weekend

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted two Roving DWI Details last week where additional patrol deputies were targeting individuals driving under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics.
On Friday, August 20, 42 vehicles were checked; six field sobriety tests were administered and the following person was arrested for DWI:
Bradley H. Ragusa, 38, 4346 Poydras St., Lake Charles
The following citations were issued:
• one for driving under suspension
• one for no seat belt
• two for speeding
• one for open container
On Sunday, August 22, 31 vehicles were checked; four field sobriety tests were administered and the following person was arrested for DWI:
Gregory Fontenot, 51, 1812 McHugh St., # 1-M, Lake Charles
The following citations were issued:
• one for speeding
• one for expired motor vehicle inspection
• two for driving under suspension
• one for no insurance
• two for running a stop sign
• one for running a red light
These details were funded by Project KNOW, a grant awarded to the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Office of Juvenile Justice Services. This grant is being used to target underage drinking.
