Two Vinton men arrested for burglary, theft

On Friday, August 27, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a burglary and theft in Vinton. The investigation revealed two men broke into a neighbor’s shed and stole two gas cans, a skill saw, and a chain saw. The victim told the deputy the two suspect’s had been photographed numerous times during the burglary and theft by his game camera that was set up in his back yard. The photos were reviewed and their identity was confirmed to be James A. Vincent, 30, and Tommy L. Rush, 17, both of 2890 Hwy. 3063, Vinton.
Vincent and Rush were arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with burglary and theft.
All of the items stolen were recovered and returned to the owner.
Judge Robert Wyatt set their bonds at $15,000 each.
CPSO Detective Stanford Mott is the lead investigator on this case.
