On June 12, the Lake Charles Fire Department responded to a house fire in the 1800 block of 13th St. in Lake Charles. The investigation by Lake Charles Fire Department found apparent signs of arson.
On August 23, further investigation led to the arrest of Stephanie D. Bellard, 34, Victoria Dr., Sulphur, by Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives. She was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with principal to aggravated arson.
Judge Michael Canaday set her bond at $150,000.
