Cameron Parish resident arrested for possession of child pornography

On May 25, 2010, the Lake Charles office of the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigation conducted a child pornography investigation which led to the execution of a search warrant at the residence of Johnathan Spivey, 22, of Hackberry, LA. Spivey’s computer was seized for forensic analysis and no arrests were made at that time.
On August 12, 2010, state police investigators received the results of a forensic analysis of Spivey’s computer. The analysis revealed that child pornography was present on his computer. An arrest warrant was obtained for possession of child pornography (LRS 14:81).
On August 19, 2010, deputies with the Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office located Spivey and arrested him for the warrant. Spivey was booked into the Cameron Parish Jail. Bond was set at $40,000.
