On Jan. 26, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint regarding the sexual assault of a 19-year-old mentally handicapped girl. The girl stated Hillory J. Guillory, Jr., 24, Smith Road in Lake Charles, who is an acquaintance of the victim, forcefully raped her.
In October of 2011, deputies were dispatched in reference to an alleged theft on No Name Road in DeQuincy.
When deputies spoke with the victim, he stated that while checking on his hunting lease property, he discovered his 4x8 deer stand with tower and Moultrie game camera, valued at over $1,800, were both missing.
On Tuesday, detectives assigned to the Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations, with the assistance of U.S. Homeland Security Investigations and the Lake Charles City Police, conducted a search warrant at the residence of 25-year-old Donald Waller, Jr. of Sulphur. According to officials, the warrant was the result of an Operation Child Watch investigation initiated by state police late last year involving child pornography being allegedly downloaded onto Waller’s computer.
Five men have been arrested by detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Vice Division following an undercover sting operation near the intersection of Kirkman and 18th streets in Lake Charles, as well as within surrounding areas. The operation targeted those allegedly seeking sexual favors for monetary compensation.
Sulphur Police Department reported on January 19, 2012, that officers of the department investigated three traffic accidents reporting no injuries and issued eight traffic citations.
Officers also responded to several other incidents resulting in six arrests.
Detectives with the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force (C.A.T. Team) arrived and determined the chemicals found were consistent with creation or operation of a clandestine lab. Deputies also reportedly recovered a small amount of meth in Broussard’s wallet.
“I left the force as a sergeant, and now I come back and I have 68 other guys looking up at me. You find you are carrying their feelings on your shoulders. Many looked at my reputation and figured it would be all fun at the department,” Coats said.

Officers also responded to several other incidents resulting in 11 arrests.
A four-vehicle accident Wednesday morning in Carlyss resulted in the death of a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy and the injury of three others.
In August of 2011, the CPSO received a complaint regarding Jacob P. Perry, 20, of Shady Lane, in Westlake, allegedly having inappropriate sexual contact with a 15 year-old girl.

Officers also responded to several other incidents resulting in five arrests.
nvestigating troopers report that a 2012 Chevrolet pick-up truck driven by 54-year-old Gilbert G. Talafuse, Jr. of Houston was traveling south on La. 99 when the vehicle he was driving ran off the road and traveled over 160 feet before striking a mail box, then traveled over 350 additional feet before striking a concrete driveway on the other side of the highway.
Upon seeing the homeowner, the suspect, later identified as Dorow, allegedly fled and was quickly picked up outside the house by a car with three other people inside. After reportedly following the car in his truck, the homeowner allegedly witnessed the car stop briefly with Dorow jumping and fleeing on foot.
The victims reported several items, including electronics, purses, wallets, credit cards, and seven firearms, stolen out of their unlocked vehicles.
Informing dispatch and other officers of the situation, Communications Officers Rachel Reed and Lacy Coleman efficiently gathered and relayed information to officers in the field advising them that the vehicle was in the NCIC database as stolen, having been taken in an alleged aggravated robbery in Texas.
Investigation revealed that a 2000 Blue Saturn driven by Ross Cunningham was traveling east on I-10 when he left the interstate on the right side making contact with the tree line causing the vehicle to overturn.
