The CITGO Lake Charles Refinery and community partners invite Southwest Louisiana residents to recycle their e-waste at the 10th Annual CITGO E-Recycle Day, Saturday, March 23, at the Stine parking lot in Sulphur.

Only residential deliveries will be accepted. Acceptable electronic items include: computers, monitors, computer peripherals, printers, fax machines, keyboards, photocopiers, TVs, VCRs, stereos, home phones, mobile phones, batteries and consumer electronics.

Acceptable mercury items include: lamps (fluorescent, high intensity discharge, neon, mercury vapor, high pressure sodium and metal halide), thermostats and thermometers containing metallic or liquid mercury.

Unacceptable items include: smoke detectors, fire alarms, dehumidifiers, large appliances (refrigerators, etc.), medical equipment and units with sludge or liquids.

Vehicles should enter the south entrance into the Stine parking lot to drop off e-waste. For more information, call the City of Sulphur at 337-527-4500.
