The annual pet show held at Burton Coliseum gave many 4H students from Gillis Elementary a chance to show off their prize pets and to gain a ribbon for their scrapbooks.
Those showing dogs were Kaylee Clark (“Dixie” who won silkiest coat), Mary Cagle (“Princess” who won most irresistible), Austin Duhon (“Shorty” who won best tail wagger), Zachary LeJeune (“Cookie” who won friendliest), Audrey Rogers (“Lexie” who won cutest) and Rae McManus (“Jolie” who won most glamorous). A guinea pig was shown by Lexen Robinson (“Guinee” who won the whitest face). A goat was shown by Tyler Falke (“Billy” who won noisiest). Mackinley Baldwin showed her cat (“Mojo” who won most unusual). There were three rabbits shown. Joshua Beniot’s rabbit “Brownie” won best condition and Davin Korn’s rabbits “Sandy” was awarded fluffiest and “Snowball” claimed the position of whitest. Davin had the crowd applauding wildly when he showed them Snowball’s trick of “playing dead.”
