Moss Bluff, La. -

The last few weeks have been tough for the Sam Houston Lady Broncos. With injuries and illnesses taking their toll, they have gone 4-6 over the last 10 games and are currently on a six-game losing streak.
"It has been tough," Lady Broncos' head coach Korey Arnold said. "We have had a couple of injuries.
"Gabrielle Boudreaux was out two weeks with pneumonia. Stacy Rogers has been out three weeks with a partially torn ACL. A'Renica Mumford is getting an MRI today. She tweaked a knee and want to make sure it is not torn."
Arnold said that Boudreaux should be back for today's game at DeRidder but will be limited some. Munford could also play depending on the outcome of the MRI but Rogers will not be back until possibly next week.
The Lady Broncos (18-12, 0-5) are looking to get back on track today against the DeRidder Lady Dragons (10-12, 1-4) in DeRidder at 6:15 p.m.
"Their guards are good and can shoot well," Arnold said. "We have to get out and defend their guards.
"We need to limit our mistakes. We have had too many mental mistakes. We need to get a shot off without turning the ball over. Our defense has been pretty good the last couple of games but our offense is not were it needs to be."
In their last District 4-4A meeting against the Lady Dragons, Sam Houston held a 20-point lead before falling 51-48.
"Our bench has been limited," Arnold said. "We have been starting off games well.
"We were up 20 on DeRidder and lost by three and up 16 on Breaux Bridge and lost by three. We have to make shots because they are going to play some type of zone. Hopefully our girls will have the revenge factor with the heartbreaking way we lost last time with a 20-point lead. Mental lapses in the fourth quarter have been costing us games. Hopefully we can get if fixed down the stretch."
Kim Kennedy leads Sam Houston in scoring with 19.5 point per game. Taylor Landry is averaging 10ppg and Haley Carrier is averaging 9.5ppg.
