Two juvenile girls arrested in Sulphur for unauthorized use of a car
Around 3 a.m. this morning, two female juveniles were stopped by the Sulphur Police Department on S. Huntington St. for traffic violations. They learned the van that the girls were in belonged to their foster mother and was taken without her permission. The SPD turned the case over to the Sheriff’s Office who arrested them and charged the girls with unauthorized use of a moveable.
Both girls were booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.
CPSO Detective Joey Williams is the lead investigator on this case.

Man arrested for stealing shotgun

Lake Charles , LA – On July 26th, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call in regards to theft of a firearm. The victim discovered his shotgun was missing from his bedroom and filed a report with the CPSO. The investigation led to detectives locating the shotgun at a pawn shop in DeQuincy.
Timothy P. Perkins, 25, 446 Gressett Rd., DeRidder, a relative of the victim, was questioned by detectives and confirmed he had stolen the gun.  He was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with theft of a firearm.
CPSO Detective James Maddox is the lead investigator on this case.
