The Sam Houston Broncos picked up win No. 13 Wednesday night 67-55 over the Iota Bulldogs in Moss Bluff.

The Broncos never trailed as they used their size advantage inside to jump out to a 19-9 lead after the first quarter.

“Our post play was pretty good,” Broncos’ head coach Keith Waddell said. “We had three kids that were bigger than any they had and we were able to pound it inside.”

Dylan Champagne led the Broncos with a game-high 18 points. Kenny Waddell and Quincy Chretien finished with nine points each.

The Bulldogs had three players in double digits. T. LeBlanc had a team-high 17 points, C. Whitman scored 14 and J. Guidry added 10 points.

The Broncos will not play again until January 5th when they take on Notre Dame at home.
