Broncos score 13 in fourth quarter in win over Tioga

Tioga, La. -

The Sam Houston Broncos scored 13 points in the fourth quarter to come from behind for a 34-21 win on Friday at Tioga.

Kip Carter scored on a 10-yard run and Logan Lockhart added a one-yard run in the final quarter.

Sam Houston led 21-7 at halftime but Tioga quarterback Terrance Dorsey scored on a two yard run and found Trip Prestridge for a 3-yard touchdown pass. A two-point conversion run by Dorsey tied the game at 21-21 before the Broncos scored 13 unanswered points.

Orlan Lockhart scored the Broncos first points of the game on a five-yard run and added a 42-yard pass for a touchdown to Trevor Avery in second quarter.

Lockhart completed 10-of-15 passes for 179 yards with one touchdown and one interception.

Carter led Sam Houston on the ground with 72 yards on 11 carries. Chase Guillory caught five passes for 105 yards.

Dorsey completed 12 of 25 passes for 268 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 56 yards and a score.

Sam Houston also got a defensive score on a 97-yard fumble return by Daniel Ellis.
