Students at W.W. Lewis Middle School paid tribute to veterans from all branches of service on Thursday, November 9, at their annual Veterans Day Program held in the auditorium. Patriotic songs were performed by the W.W. Lewis Band and Chorus and students performed a short skit explaining the meaning behind the white table which is adorned with a white table cloth, a slice of lemon, salt, a black table napkin, a red rose, a downward turned glass, an empty plate, and an empty chair. To close the program veterans in the audience were asked to stand and be recognized for their service to our nation after which the colors were retired. (SDN Photos by Lisa Kennedy)
