Sulphur resident Connie Dronette will begin her two-year term as National Director for the Catholic Daughters of the Americas on Aug. 20.
The Our Lady of Prompt Succor parishioner was elected at the organization’s 57th Biennial National Convention held July 17-22 in Sioux Falls, S.D. The event was attended by more than 1,200 members, voting delegates and clergy from across the United States.
“It is an honor to serve the Catholic Daughters as National Director,” Dronette said. “I look forward to meeting other Catholic women and sharing in our faith.”
As a National Director, Dronette joins the organization’s top national leadership, consisting of five National Officers and nine National Directors who administer, set policy and establish goals for the Catholic Daughters. “I will be assigned to two or three states and will travel to those states and for meetings in Dallas, Phoenix, and New York,” she said. “My goals for the next two-year term are to help spread the news about Catholic Daughters of the Americas and bring the peace and joy of Jesus Christ to all those that I will be working with.”
