Mayor Ron LeLeux has announced that the Sulphur Fire Department will be performing daily flow tests on fire hydrants throughout the City until December 1, 2008. These tests serve to monitor fire protection levels. At times, these flow tests may cause some discoloration of the water coming from your tap. While the discoloration is not harmful to your health, some may find it alarming. If you experience such discoloration of water from your tap, allow it to run for a few moments. This will flush your household lines of the colored water.
