The Mines Theatre is set to present its first ever impersonation show. Copycat Cantina will feature music by favorites Elvis, Conway and Loretta, Jerry Lee Lewis, Stevie Wonder, Patsy Cline, and many more, performed by local artists. The presentation is designed for audience participation and attendees are invited to dance the night away.
Free chips and salsa will be available and cold drinks and food items will be available for purchase from the Mucho Bueno Authentic Mexican Food catering truck.
Copycat Cantina is the brainchild of Reed Planchard, a Vinton resident and local performing artist and singer, who worked with the theatre to create the show using all local performers and musicians. He collaborated with R. Shay to adapt it to stage.
Blanchard is dedicating all proceeds toward the purchase of band instruments for Vinton High School. The performance is scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at The Mines Theatre, 121 E Napoloeon St. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.
Tickets are $20 and available at theminestheatre.com, 337-215-1602 or at the door. Must be 21 or older to attend.
