The Calcasieu Council on Aging once again hosted the Krewe of Golden Years Mardi Gras Dance at the Lake Charles Civic Center on February 7, inviting all seniors 60 and over to enjoy fellowship, dancing, and lunch. Louisiana Scramble cranked out Zydeco and Cajun French music which inspired many to snag a partner for a Cajun waltz or two-step. The women especially liked line dancing, showing off their moves. After all that dancing and the 12th Night Revelers presentation, a truly Cajun-inspired lunch of jambalaya was served to the hungry crowd.
