Three Event Highlights

1. The third annual ‘Roll to the Grove’ motorcycle event will be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 5-7 at The Grove at Heritage Square park in Sulphur. The community event will focus on motorcycle safety and awareness and offer an opportunity for riders to get together and share their passion for the open road, to show off their bikes, and to demonstrate their skills to others. With the exception of the biker memorial ride on Saturday all activities for RTTG will occur on the grounds of The Grove At Heritage Square in Sulphur. Several additional activities will also occur during the Saturday event to include: kid-friendly events such as a jump house, mini-carts, face painting, and tug-of-war games. There will also be a silent auction. The event is family-friendly, free, and no alcohol will be allowed.

2. Motorcycle clubs and motorcycle ministries will team up to inform the public of the various activities and/or programs that each serve individually and collectively. There will also be fundraising events for various veterans organizations to include all branches of military, law enforcement, and EMS. Biker games developed to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities of riders — and a bike show that not only allows riders to show off their bikes, but also gives the public an opportunity to view and understand the many types/brands of motorcycles will also be a big part of the event. A motorcycle simulator sponsored by the Louisiana State Police that allows participants to operate and understand the operational capabilities and hazards of riding; and RTTG events also permit the public to actively participate in various demonstrations sponsored by law enforcement that prove the results of being impaired while operating a motorcycle or other motor vehicle.
