Three Event Highlights

1. Each year Hinch Field Model Air Park in Carlyss, located near Southland Executive Airport, hosts its LARKS Fun-Fly. Dozens of participants converge in Carlyss to display and fly helicopters, drones and planes during the two-day event. This year’s Heli Fun-Fly will be held May 5-6.

2. There will be plenty of flying on Friday and Saturday from daylight until dark on both days. There is no cost to attend the event and spectators can expect to watch more than 75 pilots test the limits of their chosen remote controlled device. Concessions will be sold during event, as well as T-shirts. If you need to park away from the site, a golf cart will be provided to pick you up. Spectators are allowed to bring chairs for seating.

3. LARKS is dedicated to the hobby of model airplanes and helicopters and flies under the guidelines of the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). Their club is open to anyone wishing to enjoy the hobby as long as all rules and regulations are adhered to as set forth by the AMA and their organization.
