The Sulphur Farmer's Market will have one more special day before 2013 comes to a close. The market will open on Saturday, Dec. 21, 8 a.m.-12 noon, at Heritage Square Pavilion on Ruth St.
"We opened for a day the week before Thanksgiving, so we decided to do another before Christmas," said market coordinator Emma Hobbs, "For this pre-Christmas market day, we will have many vendors with homemade items."
Soaps, glass etchings, cakes, pies, bread and jellies will be among the items available for purchase. A small assortment of vegetables and other food stuffs are also expected.
When this special December market day ends, it will be the last until after spring comes.
"We will not have a market again until May," said Hobbs.
